The knowledge of pulse oximetry and other cardiopulmonary monitoring technologies resides with Eric W. Starr. He is the designer of the MouseOx^® and the inventor of all of the patents that are utilized in the MouseOx^® product. Mr. Starr is also the inventor of the other patents that the Company is licensing from Respironics Inc. for implementation in near-future products.
In 1995, Mr. Starr became the youngest person ever awarded the Society of Plastics Engineers highest honor, The World's Best Consumer Product Design of the Year.
The knowledge of pulse oximetry and cardiopulmonary monitoring business practices also resides with Mr. Starr. Mr. Starr left his employment with Respironics on March 31, 2006 to commence fulltime employment with the Company. Mr. Starr has multiple Bachelor of Science degrees encompassing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. He is the inventor of 16 medical device patents.
